Dear Lincoln Public Schools Families,
It is hard to believe, but there are only 28 school days remaining in the 2025-26 school year! This is an especially busy time when we work to balance the continued day-to-day focus on high-quality classroom lessons, while also taking time for celebrations and learning extensions, like field trips and presentations (and, of course, we also need to complete MCAS testing in multiple subjects). Amidst all of the busyness, I hope that your child is having a happy and successful end-of-year experience.
For this week’s message I wanted to highlight feedback surveys, which are live today for families to complete. I also wanted to share information about the state’s Sun Bucks program to support low-income families with purchasing food during the summer.
Family feedback surveys
Each year, we invite families, students, and staff to complete surveys about their experiences in the Lincoln Public Schools. We made some modifications to this year’s surveys that will allow us to compare data from LPS to data from other districts and help us build more effective feedback loops, whereby we can regularly incorporate that feedback into short-term and long-term strategic planning.
The family surveys are completely confidential and conducted through a third-party educational survey company – they are open now and we invite everyone to respond by clicking the link below for your child’s school. If you have children in multiple schools, you are welcome to submit either a single response that captures your general experience in our schools, or if you prefer you may complete a response for each school where your children attend:
We encourage you to respond today, but the surveys will be open through Friday, May 22nd. We also survey students and staff to get their feedback – staff members fill out a separate survey, and students are provided their surveys in school.
SUN Bucks
SUN Bucks is a federal food benefit program that helps low-income families with school-aged children buy food when schools are closed for the summer. The SUN Bucks application is now open for 2026 – for more information and instructions on how to apply, please
visit the MA Sun Bucks website.
Thank you, and have a wonderful weekend!
