15 March 2026
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
The month of March always feels a little heavy and hectic in the ebb and flow of the school year. This morning I was reminded of the joy of working in a school when I had the opportunity to attend our monthly PreK-grade 4 community meeting.
There are a few upcoming events I’d like to highlight. Report cards for grades 6-8 will be distributed next Wednesday the 25th of March. Next week will also begin our Statewide Assessment, the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System or MCAS on Thursday and Friday for grades 3-8. The schedule is posted below and I will be sending you a letter with some more information about the logistics for our testing window on Monday. Parent and teacher conferences also start next Wednesday as well. Again, there is a schedule for conferences posted below. Our Hanscom School Theater Club will also be presenting Beauty and Beast as well. So, there are some busy days ahead.
Finally, we recently sent you all an email to sign up for our annual Month of the Military Child Dinner. We recently received some exciting news from Kelly Haley, our Food Services Director, that the companies E3 and Affinity sales have donated chefs as well as pulled pork and brisket to allow us to change our pasta dinner into a good old fashioned BBQ! We thank everyone for their generosity and we hope that you sign up and join us for this year’s Month of the Military Child BBQ dinner.
I hope that you all have a nice weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday.
Warm Regards,
Mr. Ledebuhr

This fall for the 17th year, Sudbury Flag Football League will be running an organized flag football
program in Sudbury. This is a non-contact contact version of football where young players can
develop their passing, catching and defending skills.
The SFFL Is for BOTH Boys & Girls. The games will be played by the Official National Flag Football rules. Each player who is placed on a team will receive an NFL replica jersey with NFL team colors with
matching shorts and a flag belt and flags.
Registration for Sudbury Spring Flag Football League is open and we currently accepting applications
for its 2026 Spring league for children who are currently grades K through 11.
Games will be played on Sundays. There will be 8 regular season games plus play-off games. The
majority of games will be played on the field turf.
If you are interested in having your child join the League, visit our website to register
at www.sudburyflagfootball.com or email Sudburyflagfootballleague@gmail.com
We have a limited number of spots available. The first proposed date of the league is Sunday 4/12. The drop-dead date for registration is Friday 4/10.
Please do not wait till the last minute because once we hit capacity, we will NOT be able to add any new players. Unfortunately, last year we had to turn some players away.
