Artsy ReCreation Day, Mar. 25

Calling all parents and guardians---please help your 5th, 6th, 7th and or 8th graders think about how to participate in Artsy ReCreations so that we can have a super successful celebration of Music and Art in our school's this month on March 25th. (Some of you may remember this tradition from four years ago.)

Lincoln Swag Store Opening Again

The Lincoln School Gear Store is open again! The store will be open from March 23-April 7. There are a few additions, including an Under Armor Hoodie and T-shirt with the Fox and Knight logo! 

Health Lessons Begin This Week

As noted previously in an email earlier this month, our wellness teacher, Mr. David Trant, will begin teaching students in grades 5-8 various health lessons related to Human Growth and Development, Puberty, and Sexual Health. Students whose families have opted them out of these lessons will have alternative activities during that class time.

Gr. 6-8 Report Cards Coming, Mar. 25

Caregivers -- this trimester, report cards will be going home in envelopes with the students on Wednesday, Mar. 25. There is a space on the enevelope for you to sign to indicate that you've received it from your child. Any non-custodial parents will have the report card mailed to their homes.

Please keep the report card, sign the envelope, and return with your child starting Thursday the 26th.

Caregiver- Teacher Conferences

Caregiver-teacher conferences start this Wednesday from 1:35-4:00 and happen again on Wed, April. 1 and April 8.

Teams have limited availability, but feel free to reach out to find a time to connect with a specific teacher or the whole team if you're not able to secure a time during one of these Wednesdays or if those times don't mesh with your availability.

DONATION DRIVE
Please help Jaida Fishbone (Lincoln 6th Grader) collect items for a community service project.
Collection Details
  • Dates: Items will be collected from 3/2 – 4/17/26
  • Drop-off: Please drop items in the labeled bin in the Main Office.
Needed Items Include:
  • Small Stuffed Animals: Up to 12"
  • Kindness Cards: Can be drawings or include phrases like "Thinking of You" or "We Care About You"
  • Children's Stationery: Notebooks, pens, pencils, paints, compasses, rulers, erasers, pencil cases
  • Hygiene Items: Shampoos, pads, shower gel, toothbrushes, toothpastes, deodorants, razors
  • Household Items: Towels, bedding, socks, underwear
  • Electronics: Used tablets or laptops for teaching children
Mission & Impact
All items will be shipped to children and adults in the Ukraine.
These donations will go to Spilka Poruch, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to children and adults in the Ukraine.

Support the Grade 8 Fundraising

Our 8th graders are officially counting down the days until their milestone trip to Washington, D.C. this May! To help make this journey a reality for every student who wishes to participate, our Class of 2026 Silent Auction is now officially open for bidding through Sunday, 3/29 at 9PM.


Important Dates on the horizon too:
  • Silent auction closes: Sunday, March 29th at 9:00 PM.
  • Coffee Morning: Monday, 4/13 before school 
  • Save the Date: The annual 8th Grade Car Wash is coming up Saturday, 5/16 (Rain date: 5/17)!

Grade 8 Family Survey

For those whose children are attending the grade 8 spring trip to D.C., please complete this survey if you have not already. It will help the fundraising committee appropriately distribute the funds raised.

Sudbury Flag Football Registration Open

This fall for the 17th year, Sudbury Flag Football League will be running an organized flag football
program in Sudbury.  This is a non-contact contact version of football where young players can
develop their passing, catching and defending skills.  

The SFFL Is for BOTH Boys & Girls. The games will be played by the Official National Flag Football rules.

Each player who is placed on a team will receive an NFL replica jersey with NFL team colors with
matching shorts and a flag belt and flags.

Registration for Sudbury Spring Flag Football League is open and we currently accepting applications for its 2026 Spring league for children who are currently grades K through 11.  

Games will be played on Sundays. There will be 8 regular season games plus play-off games. The
majority of games will be played on the field turf.

We have a limited number of spots available.

The first proposed date of the league is Sunday 4/12. The drop-dead date for registration is Friday 4/10.

Please do not wait till the last minute because once we hit capacity, we will NOT be able to add any new players. Unfortunately, last year we had to turn some players away.

Minuteman Tech Summer Programs (Gr. 5-8)

Minuteman provides hands-on, enrichment programs around career technical education subjects for students entering grades 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Each one-week session is held either from 8:00 AM-11:00 AM or 11:30 AM-2:30 PM on the weeks of July 6th-10th, July 13th-17th, and July 20th-24th. Students may enroll in as many sessions as they would like.

Lincoln SEPAC Looking for Volunteers

The Lincoln SEPAC is a group of parents and caregivers of students with special needs. We are a state-mandated group organized to liaise between students, their families, and school officials with regard to the district’s special education services.

In partnership with the district, the Lincoln SEPAC helps to foster understanding, respect, and inclusion of all students and families with special needs. We provide a supportive and educational network to empower families, share experiences, and provide the best services and programs for our children.

The Lincoln SEPAC holds monthly meetings and other educational and social events throughout the year.

Association for Middle Level Education Parent Resource

The Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) has created a new website specifically for families to help understand and embrace the nuanced middle years. So whether your middle schooler is the first you’ve had or the 2nd, or 3rd, etc, this website has great resources to help you and your middle level child navigate these years productively.
