Support the Grade 8 Fundraising Through Sunday Night

Our 8th graders are officially counting down the days until their milestone trip to Washington, D.C. this May! To help make this journey a reality for every student who wishes to participate, our Class of 2026 Silent Auction is now officially open for bidding through Sunday, 3/29 at 9PM.


Important Dates on the horizon too:
  • Silent auction closes: Sunday, March 29th at 9:00 PM.
  • Coffee Morning: Monday, 4/13 before school 
  • Save the Date: The annual 8th Grade Car Wash is coming up Saturday, 5/16 (Rain date: 5/17)!

BCO Great East Trip Registration Deadline, April 1

I need to provide a final count of musicians to the Festival.  

HARD DEADLINE for your permission slip is Wednesday, April 1. If I do not receive your permission slip by then you may not be eligible to go on the trip.

Green Team Needs You

Dear Lincoln School Composting Volunteers,

Thank you so much for your awesome support this school year! Since January, we have had six amazing volunteers helping out over multiple days. While this number is down from twenty unique volunteers from September-December, we still LhVE our volunteers and whether you joined us for one session or many, we truly appreciate YOU and your time. 

As we look ahead to the end year, we are in dire need of volunteers and would be delighted to see you again– or to have you help spread the word about this important work we are doing in our school with others who might also be interested in volunteering. 

If you'd like to spend time with your child as you volunteer, your child is welcome to join you at the compost table if they would like to pull up a chair and eat their lunch with you, don a pair of composting gloves, or use the coveted composting tongs!

Lincoln Swag Store Open Again

The Lincoln School Gear Store is open again! The store will be open from March 23-April 7. There are a few additions, including an Under Armor Hoodie and T-shirt with the Fox and Knight logo! 

Caregiver- Teacher Conferences, Apr. 1 & 8

Caregiver-teacher conferences continue this Wednesday from 1:35-4:00 and happen again April 8.

Teams have limited availability, but feel free to reach out to find a time to connect with a specific teacher or the whole team if you're not able to secure a time during one of these Wednesdays or if those times don't mesh with your availability.

Support 8th Grader's Project 351 Community Service Project

Clothing Drive from March 30-April 8, seeking lightly used or new clothing. Any unclaimed Lost and Found items will go toward this drive as well.

Collection Details
  • Dates: Items will be collected from 3/2 – 4/17/26
  • Drop-off: Please drop items in the labeled bin in the Main Office.
Needed Items Include:
  • Small Stuffed Animals: Up to 12"
  • Kindness Cards: Can be drawings or include phrases like "Thinking of You" or "We Care About You"
  • Children's Stationery: Notebooks, pens, pencils, paints, compasses, rulers, erasers, pencil cases
  • Hygiene Items: Shampoos, pads, shower gel, toothbrushes, toothpastes, deodorants, razors
  • Household Items: Towels, bedding, socks, underwear
  • Electronics: Used tablets or laptops for teaching children
Mission & Impact
All items will be shipped to children and adults in the Ukraine.
These donations will go to Spilka Poruch, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to children and adults in the Ukraine.

Support 8th Grader's Civic Action Project

Hi, my name is Marcelo and I am doing a Civics Action Project on the difference between Standards Based Grading and Letter Based Grading.  I would like to know how students and parents/guardians feel about this topic.  Would you please consider taking my survey? Gr. 6-8 Report Cards Update

Report cards for students in grades 6-8 were sent home with students this past Wednesday. Please keep the contents, but sign and return the envelopes with your child(ren) if you have not already.

Caregivers who do not live permanently with their child(ren) will receive mailed copies to the address we have on file. Please reach out if you do not receive it by April. 3.

Wear purple on April 15 to celebrate military kids! Purple has been chosen to represent all service branches, Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, and Veterans. It blends each branch’s colors: the Air Force, Navy, Space Force, and Coast Guard’s blues, the Army’s green, and the Marines’ red

K-4 will be having the Cereal Box Domino event on Thursday, April 16 at 2:15pm in the Smith Gym.

What's Happening in Food Services

Happy Spring!

We’re excited to share a few updates from the Food Service Department:

New Menu Items in April:
We will be adding Cheese Pierogies and Buffalo Chicken Pierogies to the menu. The listed allergens are dairy, wheat, and soy. Please note that the dough also contains lupin beans. We will also be featuring oven roasted chicken thighs from Maine Family Farms and Jollof Rice. More product information is available  HERE .

Now Hiring:
We currently have several cafeteria positions open at both campuses. These are school-year, benefited positions. If you know someone who may be interested, please encourage them to apply HERE or have them reach out to me with any questions.

Sudbury Flag Football Registration Open

This fall for the 17th year, Sudbury Flag Football League will be running an organized flag football
program in Sudbury.  This is a non-contact contact version of football where young players can
develop their passing, catching and defending skills.  

The SFFL Is for BOTH Boys & Girls. The games will be played by the Official National Flag Football rules.

Each player who is placed on a team will receive an NFL replica jersey with NFL team colors with
matching shorts and a flag belt and flags.

Registration for Sudbury Spring Flag Football League is open and we currently accepting applications for its 2026 Spring league for children who are currently grades K through 11.  

Games will be played on Sundays. There will be 8 regular season games plus play-off games. The
majority of games will be played on the field turf.

We have a limited number of spots available.

The first proposed date of the league is Sunday 4/12. The drop-dead date for registration is Friday 4/10.

Please do not wait till the last minute because once we hit capacity, we will NOT be able to add any new players. Unfortunately, last year we had to turn some players away.

Minuteman Tech Summer Programs (Gr. 5-8)

Minuteman provides hands-on, enrichment programs around career technical education subjects for students entering grades 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Each one-week session is held either from 8:00 AM-11:00 AM or 11:30 AM-2:30 PM on the weeks of July 6th-10th, July 13th-17th, and July 20th-24th. Students may enroll in as many sessions as they would like.

Lincoln SEPAC Looking for Volunteers

The Lincoln SEPAC is a group of parents and caregivers of students with special needs. We are a state-mandated group organized to liaise between students, their families, and school officials with regard to the district’s special education services.

In partnership with the district, the Lincoln SEPAC helps to foster understanding, respect, and inclusion of all students and families with special needs. We provide a supportive and educational network to empower families, share experiences, and provide the best services and programs for our children.

The Lincoln SEPAC holds monthly meetings and other educational and social events throughout the year.

Association for Middle Level Education Parent Resource

The Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) has created a new website specifically for families to help understand and embrace the nuanced middle years. So whether your middle schooler is the first you’ve had or the 2nd, or 3rd, etc, this website has great resources to help you and your middle level child navigate these years productively.
